Brian is a practising solicitor and advises in a range of areas including property, commercial and general litigation.

Brian qualified as a Solicitor in December 2015 and has been a practising solicitor with the Law Society of Ireland since then. Brian joined Amorys Solicitors in 2016 and was promoted to Partner in 2020.

Brian has built a considerable property practice since joining Amorys Solicitors and regularly advises clients in relation to purchases, disposals and financing. Brian has also gained significant experience in Banking and regularly advises clients in relation to mortgages, security and refinancing and has developed a considerable expertise in reviewing and analysing security documents and in rectifying defective securities on behalf of banks and purchasers. 

Brian also regularly acts on behalf of his clients in litigation and regularly appears in both the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Brian is also keen on all things procurement and recently completed the Certificate in Public Procurement as offered by the Honorable Society of Kings Inns.

Brian is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association, and is also qualified to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales.

  • Recently acted in the acquisition of and re-finance of a block of student apartments in the west of Ireland;
  • Acted in the release of security and the refinance of a hotel development which is owned and operated by a complex family trust;
  • Recently secured an order for the specific performance of a contract in the Court of Appeal and successfully brought enforcement proceedings as against the Defendant in the matter by way of attachment and committal proceedings which ultimately resulted in the successful conclusion of the contract to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Recently acted on behalf of a local authority client in relation to an arbitration arising out of a dispute between a principal developer of a land holding and the local authority as the development agency.
