Deirdre is a Partner at Amorys with wide experience in complex commercial property transactions, drafting and negotiating contracts for sale and related documents for high value and complicated commercial and residential transactions and representing multiple co-owners in property related disputes in all superior courts in Ireland.
Deirdre is a practising solicitor in the area of property law and conveyancing in Ireland and manages and co-ordinates an experienced, skilled team, providing solutions-driven advice and ensuring transactions are completed efficiently to meet client requirements. Deirdre is a member of The Law Society of Ireland, the Irish Taxation Institute, the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association, the French Ireland Chamber of Commerce and the Family Lawyers’ Association. Deirdre is also an affiliate member of the Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners.
Many of Deirdre’s transactions require an in-depth understanding of construction law and planning and building regulations as they applied to her clients’ cases. In some instances, indemnities would have been required for planning or environmental risks which had been identified. A comprehensive understanding of the operation of the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 is required to deal with handover provisions in a development contract for the delivery of the new building in the transactions.
