Emer joined Amorys in 2022 and is completing her traineeship with the firm, having successfully finished the Law Society Professional Practice Course (PPC) in 2024. She has a wide-ranging interest in all areas of our practice, in particular property and banking, and assists our partners and qualified solicitors in these areas.

Before deciding to train as a solicitor Emer worked on a commercial property team in financial services.

Emer is on track to qualify as a solicitor with Amorys in January 2026 and in the meantime will provide our team with valuable support.

Emer assists our partners and qualified solicitors in all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing by conducting in-depth title reviews and reports, drafting contracts and all other aspects of conveyancing transactions. As part of the Professional Practice Course, Emer completed and advanced course in complex and commercial property.

Emer’s particular area of interest in the law is in property and banking and wrote a dissertation on the legal issues surrounding home loans and enforcement of security in Ireland.

Emer was previously employed in the National Asset Management Agency where over five years she obtained unique experience deleveraging a portfolio of debt and property in Ireland and Europe. Here Emer learned the importance of managing stakeholders in a publicly-scrutinised organisation.
